OKTOBERFEST
Description
Enjoy every day from around ten until midnight with beer and a fantastic atmosphere.
There is no fee to enter the festival or the beer-tents.
But, because of the festival’s popularity, you may want to make a reservation in advance.
If not, you can still come to Oktoberfest and your favourite tent, but come early, as tents are usually packed in a matter of seconds.
Children under the age of 6 must leave the area at 8 pm at the latest.
If you are a smoker, be aware that smoking is NOT allowed in tents.
Oktoberfest is placed near Munich city centre, and it’s very close to “Hauptbahnhof” – the city’s central railway station.
Without a few words about the beer, I would not complete this Oktoberfest info!
The festival’s popularity comes, of course, due to the quality of beer served there.
The beer you get is brewed on the ground around the city of Munich, and be cautious – it’s a bit stronger than regular beer you get in the city.
FOOD
Traditional offer includes half of a chicken (a kind of traditional Bavarian snack), roast pork served with dumplings, and the same thing with the oxen.
CLOTHES, WHAT TO WEAR?
You can, of course, wear whatever you want when you come to the festival.
If you want to feel and look authentically and truly Bavarian, you can always buy traditional Bavarian clothes on the spot.
